ICS-Security Creates New Addition to Inductive Automation’s Cyber Module Showcase

ICS-Security and Inductive Automation have made the addition of ICS-Security’s new HMI security add-on to Inductive Automation’s Module Showcase. The Module Showcase makes it easy to find and purchase modules from third-party developers that extend the functionality of Ignition by Inductive Automation.

Ignition is an industrial application platform with tools for the rapid development of solutions in human-machine interface (HMI), supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA), manufacturing execution systems (MES), and the Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT). Ignition is used in virtually every industry, in more than 100 countries.

Pioneering the domain of SCADA/HMI security and hardening, ICS-Security’s unique and

innovative solution addresses the vulnerability of critical infrastructure to cyber-attacks derived from external and hostile IT networks, as well as from inside the ICS network itself. ICS-Security’s new add-on is the first of its kind in the world and it is being showcased for the first time by Inductive Automation.

The SECURED HMI add-on is a designated solution for securing ICS, used in facilities and critical infrastructure such as power plants, oil and gas, water supply systems, and transportation service providers.

Integrating the ICS-Security add-on to the HMI software guarantees seamless deployment and eliminates the need for the cumbersome installation of expensive appliances.

“We are proud to receive the recognition from Inductive Automation, which has included us in its Module Showcase. Inductive Automation’s customers will enjoy the benefits of securing their ICS networks without the need for installing costly hardware,” said Ilan Shaya, CEO of ICS-Security. “This certification reflects our global footprint and industry-standard cybersecurity solutions.”

“This is an exciting module,” said Kevin McClusky, co-director of sales engineering for Inductive Automation. “It provides important pieces of operating-system and network security in a package that can be installed through Ignition. Network and operating-system security are important parts of every organization’s security landscape, and ICS-Security’s offering could be a valuable addition to most companies’ existing security portfolios.”

“We congratulate ICS-Security on reaching this significant milestone with an industry leader like Inductive Automation,” remarked Yaron Ashkenazi, Founder and Managing Partner of Awz Ventures, ICS-Security’s leading investors. “This integration launches the next phase in ICS- Security’s journey to secure SCADA/ICS entities around the world.”
